Who are you trying to fool, we lie to ourselves
we give them the power to show us what to do
but who put them where they are?
they say the people
I disagree
they keep files locked away
that we'll never see
Isn't it true the citizens make a country
then why do they keep from us pieces of our property?
facts of an investigation we deserve to understand
where we to read it they say we couldn't comprehend
and what exactly would we not understand
they don't give to us what we don't demand
we use little of our consciousness on what matters most
our will to understand disappears like a ghost
their thinking is-- a tame sheep is easy to herd
but they’re trying too hard their audacity's absurd
They show us a world too terrifying to explore
one burned scared and ruined by war
pictures of terrorists and tyrants right outside your door
people being killed by the dozens everyday
the tragic reality is here is what they say
" it's terrible out here isolate yourself,
shut yourself in stack up your wealth,
all you need to know learn from TV
this is exactly the reason
you are no longer free
It parallels prison from inside to out
they are unmistakable, blatant their secret is out
which brings me back to the reason I started to write
we are fooling ourselves, we still need to fight
fight for the freedom we yearn for within
and now is the time for a revolution to begin
