What if this world we live in…. was a different place

What if greed… was not what… motivates our race?

Havin’ to hide our face from the truth that is told
Not by the media but the wisdom from the old
Found on the book shelves sold to ignorant sheep
History explains all the lessons we should keep
Lessons so deep, like power corrupts the best
And greed blinds the eyes and the hearts of the rest
I feel it in my chest that the few who know
Will spread the word wide so the truth can grow

Row by row …Congress is replaced

By the common man and so rich are erased
Then the truth is faced that the constitution
Can be amended by a peaceful revolution

So the retribution can be given to the poor
Thousands of years working till their hands were sore
No more just for food on their table
Public ownership will make them able
To be stable and provide for their family
Health life liberty and pursue it happily
New Hampshire’s example can be followed

Public owned liquor pays taxes when swallowed
No more hollowed out income checks
Socialize industries for positive effects

Once a corporation makes profit in the billions
It should be controlled for the benefit of millions
Not for just the CEOs and the stockholder sheep
Everyone should benefit with products that are cheap

Capitalism has made our economy a lot a cheddar
But balanced with socialism can make it a lot better

Other countries pulled it off so why not you and me?
One step closer to the life of our dreams
Almost impossible some say that it seems
One day soon you’ll be asked to make your vote
Choose with wisdom not with what’s fed down your throat
No one bothers to see things another way
Taking for granted the hardships day to day
It’s time to say no to the wealthiest few
With money handed down to generations new
Limit inheritance… giving billions to their kids
It’s our time…… to make this country better than it is
Make recycling a law to protect our planet
Anything is possible as long as we plan it
Reform elections so money plays no roles
Canada does it well, more competition at the polls
Ban corporate mergers ….to let competition thrive
Survival of the fittest…… not wealthiest alive
