IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG….
To DIVIDE a Nation with such DISREGARD
Of the SYMBOLISM it ONCE represented.
To Fill the Citizens of the world with DISGUST and resentment.
To break the ties with ALLIES
To turn patriotism into PROTEST
To turn a WORLD against ONE NATION
To crumble an Economic Empire.
And chip away at the Foundations…
Of VALUES, MORALS, and BELIEFS…
That on them, IT once stood.
To Ship Its BABIES off to WAR...
While you Preach of PEACE and RESOLUTION
But what you really want is OIL.
Just to add to the POLLUTION
For which, YOU offer NO SOLUTION
To make us RALLY ‘round a flag
Pledge “OUR” allegiance
To make sure we project our PATRIOTISM
To Let the WORLD see
How HAPPY we must be
How we must adore our DEMOCRACY…
Because in it: all is FAIR and JUST.
Let’s Force it upon our foreign NEIGHBORS
Or turn them into dust.
KILL their women and children
For the sake of NEW REGIME…
THE “answer” to World peace;
Just ANOTHER Texans’ PLAN…
To make them our MACHINE.
Tell them THEY need DEMOCRACY
To make them our MONOPOLY.
And When war is over
White flags displayed
Victory Proclaimed
And No point or purpose could possibly remain…
You send more soldiers overseas
To CHASE a familiar NAME
But War is MONEY
So we must FAKE it.
And so WAR GOES ON…
JUST HOW LONG WILL WE TAKE IT…
