My Vision
My eyes see visions of laughter happening more often than not.
Visions of growth not its absence or hindrance.
A vision of species living and thriving, not being exterminated.
Beautiful blue skies seen clearly through no haze, nourishing air
and no clouds of smog.
Brilliant hues of blue and green and clearer waters.
Of a time when you could see to the bottom when the waters where
more than 20 feet deep.
One where tortoises had plenty of room to make their seed planting
homage to shore and not worry about construction taking their young
before they have the chance t o hatch.
Visions of people being afforded the simplest of needs such as food,
shelter, and clean water to bathe in are in surplus instead of rare.
One where understanding and compassion are complimented with insightfulness
for those who believe differently about their god, and not fighting
over which one is right.
One where our children can feel safe walking or traveling to school,
instead of being killed by stray bullets or ballistic missiles.
One that is nurturing instead of a place to be killed by their peers.
Where they are taught arts and not just sciences because of budget
cuts.
One free of man made disease.
Of a world attempting to create and conserve resources.
One not afraid of using alternative sources of fuel and energy sources.
A vision of a world sharing instead of hording land, food, shelter,
and money.
A vision of a world not forced to self destruct.
Can anyone tell me how this can be attained?
